Motorola L6 RAZR

Nowadays, the legendary Motorola Razr V3 already means a revolution in the mobile world. With this model Motorola showed how far the design limits can reach. Due to the success achieved by the Razr, the manufacturer decided that the stylish clamshell won't be the last piece form the thin "razor" series. So, with small proportions, but with affordable price, here comes - the Motorola L6.

The biggest temptations for the customer are without question the small size and the thin side view. With its proportions of 114 x 49 x 12 mm the Motorola L6 is still standing in the category of the very small devices. Its weight of 85 g may only cause envy in the other phones.

The back cover covers up the Li-Ion battery with 720 mAh capacity. According to the manufacturer's official specifications, the indicated battery lifetime is up to 380 hours stand-by and up to 350 minutes continuous talk time. When the phone hasn't been too heavy loaded, the battery life of the tested prototype was really excellent, so in such case I am willing to believe the indicated values. The charging status can be checked directly from the phone menu.

Nokia 6280 : High-class slider

Nokia has created the 6280 model as a substitute for the famous Nokia 6230 and Nokia 6230i. In terms of functional equipment it will probably be an easy task to complete. The question, however, is whether the end users will put up with Nokia 6280's sliding construction. Given the fact that a major part of the mobile users are still getting used to to clamshell phones, it seems s to be somewhat early for a mass success of the "sliders". This makes me think that a lot of customers will rather go for Nokia 6233, which is still in process of development and is expected to hit the market in August, 2006.

Siemens S75 : Serious competitor

The new Siemens Class S is not just a "boring" mobile phone meant for work. Apart from luxury elegancy, brilliantly elaborated functions and fast data transfers, it offers an excellent MP3 player and a high-class camera.

Siemens S75 looks very luxurious. Its front cover is made of black shiny plastic material, touched with chromium plated elements: the frame around the display, the decorative band above the metal grid of the speaker, the manufacturer's logo and the rectangular frame of the control button. The entire front side of the device is flanked with silver-like plastic material, which is trimmed in the middle part of both sides, thus making the phone look narrower. L
